INVITATION TO DUTCH TEXEL SHOW IN THE NETHERLANDS

Dear members of the board of the British Blue Texel Society,
As a member of the board of the Dutch Blue Texel Society, I would like to invite you to visit the Grand National Texelsheep Show on August 19th, 2017. This show is organized by the Dutch Blue Texel Society in cooperation with the Dutch Texel Society (NTS and TSNH). We expect about 180 – 200 Blue Texel and Badgerface Texel sheep and about 300 white Texel sheep to come to this show.
The program starts at 10 a.m. with the preselection of animals. After several selections, there will be a grand finale for the following categories:
Rams born in 2014 (or earlier)
Rams born in 2015
Rams born in 2016 (shearling rams)
Ramlambs 2017
Older ewes
Ewes born in 2015 (or earlier)
Ewes born in 2016 (shearling ewes), lambed
Ewes born in 2016 (shearling ewes), not lambed
Ewelambs 2017
Furthermore we have a selection out of the best groups of lambs from one breeder and some ewes are presented with their lambs.
The location of the National Texel Sheep Show is the Oranjehal, address Bentweideweg 25 in a small town called Wenum-Wiesel near the city Apeldoorn.
We have an information stand in the exhibition hall where we can welcome our guests. As a representative of the board I really hope to welcome you or other members of the British Blue Texel Society.
There is no entrance fee for this show. Apeldoorn is a city in the Mid-East of the Netherlands. In the surroundings of Apeldoorn, you can find lots of bed and breakfast facilities or hotels. When you want to visit Blue Texel Breeders in the Netherlands or Flanders in the days before or after the National Texel Show, we can provide a list of breeders who are willing to show their Blue Texel flock.
