AUCTIONEERS SALE REPORT

The first Blue Texel Show and Sale was held at Stoneleigh today, and was well supported by both Vendor and Buyer alike. In the pre-sale show, kindly judged by Miss Kate Gunn, Overall Champion, Male Champion and 1st Ram Lamb was given to D&K Thompson, for lot 521, the ram lamb “Eastbury Caddyshack” which Reserve Overall Champion, Female Champion and 1st Aged Ewe was given to Heather Mccurdie for lot 502. The sale kicked off with the females, with the Reserve Champion second into the ring selling to 580 Guineas to Ian Threadgold, Braunston. Other notable female prices saw Heather’s other aged ewe to 410 GNS with Jo Jenkins selling lot 532 a Hornetts Shearling ewe to 360 GNS and Nina Smith selling lot 506 a Bluestone yearling to 330 GNS. Into the males where the Overall Champion rocked the ring to reach 730 GNS selling to Tom Greenfield, Wellesborough, with Eastbury Clockwork Orange from the same stable to 600GNS to Derbyshire. Shearling Rams from Lesley Weatherburn sold to 610 GNS heading to the Threadgolds.
