Securing the top price of 1800gns at the Christmas Cracker export sale at Dungannon on the 15th December was a shearling ewe entry from S Allen & A Shortt from their Derg Flock.
The eye-catching ewe, Derg Glorious sired by Beili Blues Euphoric and out of a homebred ewe Derg Beyonce was knocked down to M Lyons, County Kildare.
Another shearling ewe entry was next selling at 900gns, Baileys Gem from S Allen & A Shortt. The ewe bred by Messrs Bailey & Smyth is also a daughter of Beili Blues Euphoric and from the dam Saltire Blue Disco Diva. Gem was purchased by D Shekleton from County Louth.
A trio of entries all sold for 600gns. First up was a shearling ewe from Messrs G Buchanan and A Pennell from their Innishmore Flock. The ewe, Innishmore Grant Your Wish who is sired by Woodview Ernie and out of a homebred ewe was sold to A Patton for his Roughan Flock near Counry Tyrone.
The next best at the same price was another entry from Buchanan & Pennell from their Innishmore Flock, the shearling ewe took 3rd place in the presale show before being purchased by S McGaw to join his Boghouse Flock near County Down. The ewe, Innishmore Gold Digger, is a daughter of Cleenagh Father Jack and out of a homebred Innishmore dam.
The final to sell at 600gns was a shearling ewe consigned by S Allen & A Shortt, Derg Gossip Girl, sired by Beili Blues Euphoric and out of Derg Beyonce this ewe sold to N Farrell for her Rossmac Flock in County Fermanagh.
