Topping the August Blue Texel Sheep Society Dungannon Export sale was a ram lamb from Russell Millen of the Knockmult Flock which sold for 1120gns.
This eye-catching lamb, Knockmult Head The Ball, is sired by Cleenagh Fanbadadosey and out of Derg Fantasy, which is a daughter of Saltire Blue Derek. He was successfully purchased by G Buchanan and A Pennell for their Innishmore Flock.

Another ram lamb entry was next selling at 1000gns, Derg Hacker, consigned by Messers Bailey & Shannon Smyth from their Baileys Flock. Their lamb, a son of Matt’s Firetrap is bred from Derg Enigma. Hacker was knocked down to Martin McLaughlin, Gleneely, Co. Donegal.

Selling at 950gns was the first prize shearling ram and reserve champion from G Buchanan and A Pennell of the Innishmore Flock. The 2022-born entry by Woodview Ernie and out of a home-bred Innishmore ewe sold to I and N McAleese to join their Hill Cottage Flock.

Topping the shearling ewe entry was Tullyear Gigi from A Cowan, Tullyear Flock. Lifting the first prize rosette, this home-bred ewe which is a daughter of Sunnybank Excalibur and out of Hackney Duchess. Gigi was sold for 880gns to David Crombie, Rathfriland, Co. Down.

A Cowan received 720gns for a full sister which joins Nigel Flanagan for his Vermont Flock.
Also selling at the 720gns mark was a ewe lamb, Knockmult Harmony, from Russell Millen. This was a Drumard Ed-sired lamb and was from the dam Derg Fantasy. She was sold to Patrick Hogan, Grangford, Co. Carlow.
