Taking top price at Melton Mowbray’s Spring Fling Sale at 600gns was a shearling ewe from Joshua Geary, Littlewood Flock. Sired by Hunters Economic 3351 and out of Solway View Ember, Littlewood Georgie was purchased by MW & VJ Neal to join there Sunnyside Blue Flock based near Warwickshire.
Selling for 620gns was the shearling ewe Silson Geegee consigned by FJ Baird & Coles of the Silson Flock based near Towcester. Geegee is daughter of Little Whisker Congo 0413 and is out of Little Whisker Brande. She was knocked down to Edward Blanchard & Tim Pratt for their Aldeburgh Flock, Suffolk.
Burnett & Lloyd’s Stonycroft entry was the next price in the listing at 500gns, Stonycroft Gin Shot. This shearling ewe was sired by Stonycroft (Import) 2055 and is out of homebred ewe Stonycroft Dahlia. She was successfully sold to T French for his Fentex Flock based in Lincolnshire.
