Taking top price of 2,000gns at Stirling’s Blue Texel Show & Sale on Saturday 16th September was the female overall champion in the pre-sale judging.
The Shearling Ewe, Hunters Gypsy consigned by WJ & M Hunter who is sired by Beili Blues Elliot and out of a homebred ewe Hunters Alisongs. Gypsy also picked up a first prize rosette before being sold to Alexander Crombie for his Southfield Flock in Falkirk.

The Hunter family also saw their shearling ram, Hunters Game Changer who picked up a first prize rosette as well as being tapped out as Reserve Male Champion sold for 1,400gns. Game Changer who is also by the sire Beili Blues Elliot and out of another homebred ewe Hunters Dancing Queen was purchased by Emma Warnock for her Dreva Flock.

A trio of shearling ewes all sold for 1,000gns, with first up being a Millside entry from David Alexander. The shearling ewe that picked up the second prize rosette is a daughter of a Beili Blues ram and out of a homebred ewe, she was knocked down to J Taylor from Perthshire.
Next up for the same money was another entry from David Alexander and his Millside Flock, Blue Diamond Glimmer who was bred by Anita Padfield and Paul Barwood. Glimmer is sired by Turbo Blue and out of the dam Baliova Ambergs, she also sold to J Taylor.
The final shearling ewe that sold for 1,000gns to R Mulloch from West Lothian was another entry from WJ & M Hunter, Hunters Goddess. Sired by Hunters Emale and out of Hunters Chelsea.
The Hunters trade didn’t stop there with Hunters Gelato selling for 950gns, this Beili Blues Elliot sired entry was out of a Sams female. Gelato sold to F Forster, Melrose, Roxburgh.
